Police are investigating a robbery at a Cumberland Farms convenience store. The suspect didn't display a weapon when demanding money just before 6:30 Saturday morning.

Augusta Police Lieutenant Christopher Massey said in a press release that the Cumberland Farms on Mt. Vernon Avenue was robbed this morning. A male, described as 150 to 180 pounds, wearing a light colored hooded sweatshirt, light colored jeans, workboots, and gloves walked in with most of his face covered with a bandana.

The man demanded and received money from the clerk and then fled the store on foot. A State Police K-9 tracked the suspect east on Bond Street, where a search of the area turned up several pieces of evidence in connection with the robbery, but not the suspect.

Anyone who thinks they may have information on this robbery is asked to call the Augusta Police Department at (207) 626-2381.
