PVHS Howlers vs. Narraguagus Knights

The Penobscot Valley Howlers held off a late charge from the Narraguagus Knights in a 45-42 quarterfinal win at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor Tuesday afternoon.

PVHS standout Lexi Irleand fouled out midway through the fourth quarter with 16 points. With Ireland out, the Knights were able to chip away at a double-digit lead to cut the margin to five points in the final minutes.

Emily St. Cyr and Lanie Harding each scored 10 points for the Howlers.

For the Knights, Emma Strout had 12 points and Casey Alley had eight points.

Penobscot Valley will play in Friday's semifinal at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor.
