Schenck Wolverines Defeat Shead In D North QF [GIRLS]

The Schenck Wolverines earned a spot in the regional semifinals after defeating the Shead Tigerettes Monday night in Bangor.

After trailing 4-0 early in the first quarter, No. 4 Schenck assumed the lead and never relinquished it on the way to a 56-38 quarterfinal win at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor.

Senior Samantha Falone led Schenck with 15 points, including three 3-pointers. Junior Cassie Russell and senior Julia Stanley each had 12 points.

In the loss, Kiesha Scott led No. 5 Shead with 10 points.

Schenck will play in the Class D North semifinal at 8:35 p.m. on Thurs., Feb. 21 at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor.
