‘Simpsons’ Take On Boston Sports In New Episode [VIDEO]

The Simpsons are taking to the road and will be bringing the animated series to Beantown on Sunday night with an episode titled "The Town".

The new episode, that will premiere on Sunday night after football on FOX, will center its whole story line around the city of Boston as the Simpson family heads to the capital of Massachusetts.

The description for the episode lists Bart’s rooting for the 'Boston Americans' in favor of the local Springfield football team as the reasoning behind the “hate-cation” by the family.

The episode will feature a local football team wearing red, white and blue that includes a hoodie-clad coach on the sidelines, a tight end named “Bonkowski”, and a good looking quarterback rocking the number 12.

The show is said to features numerous reference to the city of Boston and the New England area, as well as including guest stars with Massachusetts connections like Bill Bur, Rachel Dratch, Doris Kearns Goodwin, and Mike Mitchell.
