Boston Bruins GM Don Sweeney won NHL General Manager of the Year at the league awards show in Las Vegas Wednesday night but no Selke Award for Patrice Bergeron.

Sweeney was rewarded for helping to build depth in the Bruins minor league system and making some key trades at the deadline.

The B's finished second in the Eastern Conference regular season and made it all the way to the Stanley Cup Final.

Meanwhile, Patrice Bergeron was beaten out for the Selke Award by St. Louis Blues forward Ryan O'Reilly. Bergy was looking for his fifth 'best defensive forward' award.

NOTE: Former UMaine goalie, now Dallas Stars, Ben Bishop lost out on the Vezina Trophy for best goalie to Tampa Bay goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy.
