Rookie Jayson Tatum scored 24 points to lead the Boston Celtics over the Cleveland Cavs 96-83 in game five of the Eastern Conference Finals. The C's now lead the series 3-2.

Tatum's 24 points in the 9th time he has scored at least 20 points in a playoff game this year and the Celts are a game away from being in the NBA Finals.

Despite shooting just 36% all night, the Celtics got a lead on the Cavs and never gave it back.

Al Horford scored 15 and had 12 rebounds. Jaylen Brown scored 17.

LeBron James had 26 to lead Cleveland but seemed tired most of the night.

Game six is back in Cleveland Friday night. And, if a game seven is needed, it's back in Boston Sunday.
