UM Beats UMass 5-2, First Win In 6 Games
The UMaine hockey team tasted victory for the first time in 21 days with a 5-2 road win at UMass Friday night.
Five different Black Bear players got into the scoring column - Steven Swavely, Blaine Byron, Brendan Robbins, Conner Riley and Brian Morgan.
Matt Morris made 28 saves in net.
Maine is 3-8-2 in Hockey East, 6-15-6 overall.
UMass falls to 2-10-4 and 7-16-4.
The second game of the weekend series is tonight at 7pm.
