UM Hoops Schedules Released

UMaine basketball has released 2014-15 schedules and it looks like new coach Bob Walsh and his men's team will be spending a lot of time on the road. Coach Richard Barron and his women's team will get more home time at the Cross Center.

On the men's side, the Black Bears will begin play with games against USM and Husson University in early November before tackling the division-one part of the schedule. The Bears have not played Husson since the John Giannini coaching days.

The schedule calls for three home games against non-conference D-1 teams - Wagner, Long Island U and NJIT.

Road games include at Butler, at Boston College and at Seton Hall.

On the women's side, after playing a couple of exhibition games against Canadian teams, the Bears open the division-one schedule at Bryant. The D-1 non-conference home schedule includes games against Long Island U, Sacred Heart, Brown, Wright State or BC(November tourney), Harvard, Dartmouth and Northeastern.

Road games include at UMass, C.Conn St and North Carolina(on neutral site).
