The University of Maine hockey team matched its season high in offensive output to pick up a 6-4 win over New Hampshire at Alfond Arena.It only took 47 seconds for the Bears to get on the scoreboard as the teams exploded for five goals in the first periods with the Wildcats eventually taking a 3-2 lead after the first 20 minutes.

UMaine then took control with two goals in the second period and two more in the third. Captain Devin Shore had one of his best games of the season with two goals and two assists to spark the Bears offense. Steven Swavely was equally impressive adding another two goals and two assists for the Bears who improve to 9-15-1 overall and 4-7 in Hockey East. It's only the second time UMaine has scored as many as six goals this season, the first time came in a 6-5 overtime win against UMass back on October 31.

Sean Romeo got his 6th win in goal after a 29 save performance.

The two teams will make their way to the Whittemore Center in New Hampshire to wrap up the weekend series tonight.
