Winslow Holds Off Ellsworth in Girls B Quarterfinal

The No. 4 Winslow Black Raiders held off the No. 5 Ellsworth Eagles in a Saturday morning quarterfinal at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor.

The Black Raiders kept the Eagles at bay throughout the game, leading after every quarter and earning a 51-44 win along with a trip to a Wednesday semifinal game against either Houlton or Foxcroft Academy.

Heather Kervin led Winslow with 14 points. Paige Trask added 10.

For Ellsworth, senior Madison Card had 18 points and Kate Whitney added 9.
