Chris Sale gave up two home runs, a three-run shot by Tyler Austin and a solo homer to Todd Frazier Saturday night. It turned out to be enough for the Yankees to beat Sale and the Sox 4-3.

Sale pitched well enough to win, seven innings, seven hits and a walk, nine strikeouts.

But the Sox hitters could never get to NY starter CC Sabathia. Just two runs and four hits against him in six innings.

Rookie Rafael Devers did hit another home run, his 8th.

The Yankee win brings them back within four games of the Sox with another game today with Rick Porcello matching up against Sonny Gray.
