The red hot Houston Astros pounded Hector Velazquez for five runs in the first innings and the Red Sox never recovered. Chalk up a 7-3 for the Astros over the Sox Saturday night.

Simply put, Velazquez was awful. He got one batter out and gave up five runs on three hits and two walks.

The first inning lasted 44 minutes.

Meanwhile, the Sox offense was stagnant again with only five hits. They were 0-for-5 with runners in scoring position.

Christian Vazquez had a home run and Mitch Moreland had a RBI double but that was about it.

Manager Alex Cora talked after the second straight loss to the Astros.
