Brewer Sweeps PVC

The Brewer Witches sweep the PVC-Eastern Maine Indoor Track League championship meet. The girls team scored 91.5 points, the boys team scored 78.

Hampden was runnerup on both the girls and boys competition.

Brewer tracksters won two events. Morgan Honey won the 55-Meter Hurdles and the 4x200 Relay. The Witches scored points in a lot of events to earn the title.

On the boys side, Brewer's Johann Gerling won the 200-Meter Dash and Garrett Graham won the shot put.

It's the first time since the 1997-98 season that Brewer has swept the EMITL.

Outstanding Girl Performer: Helen Shearer, Hampden, 26 points

Outstanding Boy Performers: Ben Cotton, JB and Zach Beaton, Hermon, each scored 30 points. (first time ever a boy from either school won this award.)

Girls Team Coach of the Year: Mike Viani, Central
