Broncos Handle Cougars, Anderson Injures Ankle
The #2 ranked Hampden Broncos overpowered the #3 Mt. Blue Cougars 70-45 Thursday night and move back into first place in Class A North.
The Broncos outscored the Cougars by double-digits in every quarter and played terrific defense Mt. Blue standout James Anderson who did not score a point.
Anderson left the game two minutes into the third quarter with a sprained ankle.
Kory Winch led Hampden with 26 points. Kent Oliver added 11 and Bryce Lausier added 10.
Garrett Reynolds had 13 for the Cougars.
Hampden improves to 13-3 and finish the regular season with games against Bangor and Nokomis.
Mt. Blue falls to 9-4 and finish with Camden Hills, Erskine and Brewer.
