
Class A Hockey: Blue Devils Over Rams
The Lewiston Blue Devils scored two goals about two minutes apart in the first period and went on to beat the Bangor Rams 3-1 at Sawyer Arena Friday night.
The win makes the #1 ranked Blue Devils 13-2 in Class A North. The #4 ranked Rams fall to 9-6.
Cam Dionne and Jack Leblond scored those first period goals as Lewiston dominated play. Shots on goal were 13-3 after one period.
Bangor came back to take control of the second period and a Hunter Neale goal for the Rams made it a 2-1 score.
But two-and-a-half minutes later Alex Robert score to give the Blue Devils a two goal lead again.
Neither team would score again.
Bangor did end up getting more shots on goal, 21 to 19,
NOTE: Class B North hockey, Houlton-Hodgdon knocked off top ranked Old Town-Orono 4-3 in overtime at Alfond Arena, handing the Black Bears their first loss of the season.
