For the first time since May 15th Daniel Bard pitched in a baseball game Monday afternoon down in Florida. Bard has been rehabbing an abdominal strain sustained back in April with the Portland Seadogs.

Are you buying that?

Let's face it. Bard was taken off the minor league roster and moved to Sox headquarters in Ft. Myers because he lost his way. Unable to throw strikes.

Bard pitched the fourth inning in a Gulf Coast League game - walked the first batter, gave up a single to the second guy. He did get out of the inning without giving up a run.

Bard is now 28 years old.
