Doolan Wins NEFC Award

UMaine freshman running back Nigel Beckford is CAA Rookie of the Week and Maine Maritime freshman running back Jacob Doolan is NEFC Offensive Player of the Week.

For Beckford(Bridgeport, Conn), it is his second CAA rookie honor. In Saturday's Black  Bears win at Rhode Island, he ran for 107 yards on 25 carries and a touchdown.

For Doolan(Lawrence HS,Maine), in the Mariners win over Nichols College he had 287 all-purpose yards, including rushing, catches passes and punt returns.

MMA's John Doyan(Hampden Academy,Maine) is the NEFC Defensive Player of the Week. He recorded 19 tackles, 13 of them were solo.
