Globetrotter Meadowlark Lemon Dies At 83 [VIDEO]
Longtime Harlem Globetrotter Meadowlark Lemon has passed away at the age of 83. He was one of the most popular players ever, touring with the team for 24 years.
Lemon joined the Globetrotters in 1954 and went on to play in 16,000 games. Several of those games were played here in Maine. He left the team in 1978.
He was known as 'the clown prince of basketball'.
In 1986, Lemon became an ordained minister and formed the Meadowlark Lemon Ministries in 1994.
