The Greely Rangers defeated the Hampden Broncos 53-38 Thursday night to claim the Class A state title.

After falling behind 6-0 at the outset of the game, Greely pressed the Broncos, took control and pulled away with a 27-2 run. The Rangers didn't look back in claiming their first Class A state title at the Cross Insurance Arena in Portland.

Brooke Obar had 17 points for Greely. Anna DeWolfe had 16 points.

For Hampden, junior Bailey Donovan led the Broncos with 13 points.

It was a frustrating night for the Broncos, who committed 22 turnovers.

It is the first Class A title for Greely, which add that crown to four Class B titles.

Greely finishes the season at 20-2. Hampden Academy finishes at 19-3.
