LL Regional: Saco Drops First Game

The Saco Little League All Star team lost its first game at the New England Regional in Bristol, Connecticut., losing to Pittsfield, Massachusetts 9-4.

Evan Blake had three hits, including a home run for the Massachusetts team.

Saco won its district title and then won the Maine state title in Machias late in July.

Saco must win a 1pm game today vs Connecticut to stay alive in the tournament. The Fairfield, Conn team lost its first game to Rhode Island 10-0.

The winner of the regional goes to Williamsport, Pennsylvania and the Little League World Series.
