Lowry Is The Hometown Hero [VIDEO]

It could not have been better for golf fans in Northern Ireland. One of their own, 32-year-old Shane Lowry, wins The Open Championship and he did it in dominating fashion.

Lowry won by six shots despite shooting just a 1-over par 72 in the final round.

But the weather turned bad and so did all of the challengers. Second place finisher Tommy Fleetwood, Brooks Koepka and Rickie Fowler all shot  74s. JB Holmes shot an 87.

For Lowry, it's his first win at a major.
