A day after the Mike Trout $430 million dollar record breaking contract, Red Sox outfielder Mookie Betts found himself answering questions about that deal and what it could mean for his future earnings.

Betts confirmed to reporters in Florida that he turned down an eight year, $200 million dollar offer from the Red Sox before last season.

He's playing this season for $20 million on a one-year deal that avoided arbitration. Betts can become a free agent at the end of the 2020 season and he's likely to be the best player on the market.
