Bryce Gilbert of Piscataquis Community High School has won the McDonald’s High School Athlete of the Week with 39 percent of the total vote over Cody Craig of Skowhegan High School and Rihan Smallwood of Bangor High School.

The junior has been filling the score book this 2016-17 season and had a big week for his team.  Gilbert had 32 points and seven rebounds versus Schenck, and then put up 26 points in a win versus Stearns and 25 more against Orono.  He has already set the single season school scoring record for the Pirates with one game left to go for the 8-9 PCHS side on the year.

Gilbert took home the vote with over 1,000 submissions this week.
