Pedroia Plays Portland Thursday Night

It's official now. Dustin Pedroia will play for the Portland Sea Dogs at Hadlock Field tomorrow night on a minor league rehab assignment.

Pedroia has been on the Sox Injured List since April 18th as he tries to come back from knee surgery. He played in games major league games before taking himself out of the lineup in that game vs the Yankees when he felt something in the knee.

Pedroia was a Double-A Sea Dogs player in 2005 when he hit .324 with eight home runs and 40 RBI.

The (7-14) Sea Dogs will play the Binghamton Rumble Ponies at Hadlock at 6pm. It's the first of six home games.
