Pedroia Will Play In Fenway Opener

Dustin Pedroia has been activated and will play for the Red Sox in today's Fenway Park opener. However, he's not leading off, he's batting 7th in the order.

While the team was making that west coast roadtrip, Pedroia continued with extra spring training in Fort Myers and then played for the Single-A Greenville Drive team to make sure the surgically repaired knee is going to be ok.

Manager Alex Cora had said when Pedroia was ready that he would bat him leadoff for the first game but that has changed.
