In Los Angeles, the Metropolitan Division stars beat the Pacific Division stars 4-3 to win the NHL All Star Game.

Philadelphia Flyer Wayne Simmons was name MVP. He scored the game winning goal.

The NHL split the game into divisional play and play a series of 3-on-3 games.
