Boston Celtics great Bill Russell fainted and then fell while giving a speech in Nevada on Thursday. Russell was taken to the hospital as a precaution but Celtics officials are reporting he is ok.

Russell was giving a speech to Konica Minolta employees when the fainting spell occurred. A witness told the Associated Press that Russell was telling a story about Wilt Chamberlain when he started to sway at the podium and then fell backward.

Russell is now 80-years-old now and is considered one of the best basketball players ever in the NBA. He won 11 NBA titles with the Boston Celtics.

The NBA finals MVP award is now called the Bill Russell Trophy. He handed it out last month to Kawhi Leonard of the San Antonio Spurs.
