Police Probe Shooting On Ohio Street in Bangor
One person was injured in a shooting on Ohio Street Sunday afternoon.
Police Chief Mark Hathaway said in a media release that officers were sent to the 100 block of Ohio Street shortly before 3 p.m. Sunday to a report of gunshots. They confirmed that there was a shooting and one person was injured. The victim was taken to a local hospital.
A police department canine has been sent to the scene and investigators continue to try and piece together what happened. The identity and condition of the victim is not being released, at this time. Early indications suggest that the public is not at risk.
This story was updated Monday evening. Police said the victim died at the hospital Sunday night and has been identified as Terrance Durel Sr., 36, of New Orleans, Louisiana.
