Stanton Discusses Possibility Of Playing For Red Sox [VIDEO]
The Hot Stove season is still a few months away for the Red Sox and the rest of the MLB, but that doesn’t mean the rumors are lying dormant too.
Miami Marlins slugger Giancarlo Stanton appeared on Jimmy Kimmel’s late night talk show to discuss his life and was broached with the topic of playing for Boston. Kimmel asked him whether or not he would be okay with becoming a DH with the Sox or if he needed to play the OF to be happy. The Miami outfielder is expected to be on the trade market after the team was sold to a new ownership group this past summer.

Sounds like Stanton wouldn’t be opposed to the idea, especially on those early day games. Among the other topics discussed included whether Stanton had spoken with new Marlins owner Derek Jeter.
