The Southern Aroostook Warriors were in Mars Hill on Tuesday taking on the Central Aroostook Panthers in boys’ high school basketball. Southern Aroostook came into the game with a 10-1 record and #2 in Class D North. Central Aroostook put a 5-6 record on the line while sitting #17 in Class C North

Alumni Gymnasium in Houlton was the site for the Class B North girls' matchup between the hometown Shires and the Caribou Vikings.

As student's returned to school from the holiday break, a full schedule of local high school basketball was played throughout The County on Monday night.

This year the two squads are led by a brother and sister duo who are putting up a majority of their teams points so far this season. Abby Haines is a sophomore point guard for the Panthers and her older brother Lucas, is a high-flying wing who can score in bunches for Coach Jason Woodworth.

The Caribou Vikings played the Foxcroft Ponies on Thursday
