UMaine basketball fans got a free 'Gettin Sigi With It' tee-shirt when they entered the Cross Center Saturday afternoon. They did not get to see the senior guard Sigi Koizar play because of an injury.

But, no matter, the Black Bears beat UMaryland Baltimore County 70-42.

Fans did get the chance to see assistant coach Any Vachon run the team as head coach Richard Barron takes a medical leave of absence.

Blanca Millan led the Black Bears with 17 points, including five 3-pointers.

UMaine shot 44% from the field. UMBC shot just 23%.

The Bears improve to 8-9 overall and 1-1 in America East. UMBC is 5-10 and 0-2.
