Witches Take Two PVC Titles

The Brewer High School boys and girls track & field teams scored Penobscot Valley Conference titles Friday evening in the Large School Division.

Girls Meet: The Brewer girls scored 142.75 points. Hampden finished second. Old town was third. Among the winning events for the Witches - Lilly Blakeman in the discus (110-09), Ashley Tanguay wins the javelin (99-02), Sophia Inman wins the high jump (5-00.00) and Ashlee Vilasuso won the 300Mm hurdles (39.01).

Boys Meet:  The Witches scored 115.50 points with Hermon finishing second and Hampden third. Junior Jacob McCluskey scored wins in two events - the javelin (156-08) and the discus (160-04). His teammate Garrett Graham won the shot put (55-10.5).

NOTE: The PVC Small School championship meet takes place today in Caribou...State championship day for all schools is next Saturday.
