92.9 The Ticket Wins 4 MAB Awards

The Maine Association of Broadcasters has honored Sports Radio 92.9 The TIcket with four awards for broadcast excellence.

Out of state judges analyzed work from Maine radio and TV stations in a variety of categories for the May 31, 2018 to June 1, 2019 time period.

Best Sports Feature: Cory Brandon, From QB to Cop   Dale Duff reported on the story of Husson University quaterback Cory Brandon who led the Eagles to the NCAAs and then putting his college degree to use by becoming a police officer.

Best Sports Play-By-Play: Caribou vs Hermon Class B North TItle Game  Clem Labree/Dale Duff called the live broadcast of the high school basketball tournament game as the Vikings went on to win their first state title in 50 years.

Best Sports Play-By-Play: Bangor Wins first Class AA State Title  Dale Duff/Ernie Clark called the live broadcast of the Rams winning the state basketball championship in Portland.
