A rotten, rainy Monday night in Boston turned into a rotten, rainy ninth inning implosion by the Red Sox bullpen and a 7-5 loss to the Cleveland Indians.

After David Price worked a scoreless six innings and Brandon Workman had a scoreless 7th inning, the bullpen implosion began.

Marcus Walden gave up two runs in the 8th inning. Ryan Brasier and Travis Lakins combined to give up five runs in the 9th inning.

Ouch!

The whole thing left manager Alex Cora with a lot of explaining to do after his team drops to 29-26.
