Bruins Lose As Injuries Pile Up [VIDEO]

For the first time since the second game of the season back in October the Boston Bruins got shut out. The hard charging Florida Panthers blanked the B's 3-0 last night.

The Panthers scored twice in the first nine minutes against backup goalie Anton Khudobin and then their backup goalie James Reimer did the rest. He stopped all 46 shots the Bruins put on him

The Bruins were playing without Zdeno Chara and Jake DeBrusk - both injured and both will not play in the big showdown game against Tampa Bay tomrorow night.

The B's are 44-17-8. They have 96 points in the standings and trail first place Tampa Bay by four points with one game in hand.

Could the Bruins be without David Backes again? He got called for a match penalty on a hit from behind play. The league offices will review and see if further discipline is needed. Backes is coming off a three game suspension for an illegal hit two weeks ago.
