It’s time for you to help us decide again who should be the winner of this week’s High School Athlete of the Week.  We have three great basketball performers up for this week’s voting.

Bangor’s Katie Butler has helped the Rams to a three game win streak recently, including two big wins this past week.  She had 14 points in the upset victory against Oxford Hills last Monday afternoon, and then scored 22 points against crosstown rival Brewer on Friday night in a 51-33 win over the Witches at Red Barry Gymnasium.  Bangor is now 6-6 on the season and in fifth place in the Class AA North Standings.

Cam Wood of Brewer had a nice week for the Witches as his team picked up some valuable heal points in the two victories over Gardiner and Bangor.  In the match-up against Gardiner this past Monday, he scored a game high 22 points for a victory by two, and then chipped in with 11 points versus the Rams this past weekend.  Brewer is now 6-7 and currently in sixth place in the Class A North Standings.

Messalonskee’s Sophia Holmes continues to put up impressive point totals this season for the Eagles.  In her lone game from this last week, Holmes scored 16 points against the Hampden Academy Broncos on the road and added seven rebounds and six steals.  Along with helping the Eagles to an 11-0 record and the top spot in the Class A rankings, Holmes also leads the KVAC with 22 points per game.

The decision is up to you to choose who you think is the High School Athlete of the Week between these three great performers!
