Stop me if you have heard this before. The Boston Celtics get down by double digits and make a late comeback and either pull out a win or come up just short.

It happened again last night in  Portland as the Celtics came up short, losing to the Trailblzers 100-94.

The west coast road trip ends with a 1-4 record.

The Celtics got behind by 21 points in the third quarter before lauching a comeback. The C's got the game tied 76-76 with about seven minutes left but couldn't grab the lead.

Al-Farouq Aminu hit two key three-pointers down the stretch for Portland. Damien Lillard led the Blazers with 19.

Jayson Tatum matched his career high with 27 points and Kyrie Irving returned to the lineup and scored 21 for Boston.

The Celtics got out rebounded 55-42 and were just 14-of-42 shooting threes.
