
Cold Shooting Costs Polar Bears
The Bowdoin Polar Bears run in the NCAA tournament has ended following a 60-53 loss to Rochester University Yellow Jackets Friday night.The 22-7 Bears could never find their shooting touch and finished 26% from the field. Rochester outscored Bowdoin 16-4 in the second quarter to take a 35-19 lead into the locker room at halftime, a lead the Bears could never overcome.
The loss brings the curtain down on the division III basketball season for teams in the state of Maine. Four teams made the big dance as Husson, St. Joe's and the University of New England joined Bowdoin in the NCAA tourney but have all been eliminated.
