St. Peter Buzzer-Beater Sends Ellsworth To Northern Maine Final

The Ellsworth Eagles and Caribou Vikings battled through four quarters and down to the last second of overtime in a thriller, and at the buzzer it was the No. 2 Eagles advancing to the Northern Maine Class B finals.

The Eagles avoided the upset, winning the game 42-40 on a buzzer beater by senior center Bruce St. Peter. You can see the video below.

Down by 40-37 points with less than 3 seconds on the clock, Ellsworth's Bryce Harmon sent the game to overtime with another buzzer-beater, a last-second three-pointer from way beyond the arc. You can see the video below.

Nick Bagley had 14 points for Ellsworth and St. Peter finished with 10.

Donovan Savage led Caribou with 16 points.

Ellsworth will face the winner of Old Town and Orono on Championship Saturday.
