Former New England Patriots cornerback Brandon Browner was arrested in California on Sunday after police say he broke into the home of an ex-girlfriend, physically harmed the woman and threatened to kill her.

Browner, a member of the 2014 Patriots team that won the Super Bowl, also faces charges of burglary, false imprisonment and violation of a restraining order, according to a report from NBC Los Angeles.

Police in La Verne, CA say Browner broke into the home through a locked window and forced the woman back into the house after she tried to flee.

Browner, 33, allegedly stole a Rolex watch valued at $20,000 before leaving the home.

Police say Browner was arrested in a domestic violence incident involving the same woman earlier this year.
