Hermon, CAHS Win Cheering State Titles

Chalk up another state championship for the Hermon Hawks cheer squad. That's three Class B state titles in a row for Hermon.

In the North Regional two weeks ago, Ellsworth edged out Hermon for the top spot in Bangor. But in Augusta today, the Hawks finished on top for their 8th title in nine years.

Central Aroostook won Class D and that means it's a 2-2 North-South split for state titles.

2019 State Cheering Champions:

Class A: Biddeford, runner up - Bangor

Class B: Hermon, runner up - Ellsworth

Class C: Lison, runner up - Sacopee Valley

Class D: Central Aroostook, runner up - PVHS
