Dallas Mavericks Share Video of Cooper Flagg Working Out in Veazie

The reigning NBA Rookie of the Year has been busy this summer, with his team sharing footage of his workouts from just outside Bangor.

The Dallas Mavericks shared several photos and videos on social media on August 12th showing Cooper Flagg working out at the Eastern Maine Sports Academy in Veazie.

The team highlighted Flagg’s return to Maine with captions including, “Home cookin’ w/ @cooper_flagg in Maine” and “Nothin’ better than hometown hoops.”

The Mavericks forward is a native of Newport, where he grew up and began his high school career at Nokomis Regional High School.

Flagg’s twin brother, Ace, also grew up in Newport and now plays for the University of Maine men’s basketball team in Orono, just a few miles from Veazie.
