Ellsworth Girls Nip Presque Isle 2-1
The Ellsworth Girls' Soccer Team nipped the Presque Isle Wildcats 2-1 in Presque Isle on Saturday, September 2nd.
The Wildcats took an early 1-0 lead on a goal by freshman Peyton Boinske, her 1st High School career goal. She was assisted by Kacie Marston.
Ellsworth tied the game at 1-1 on a goal by Elizabeth Boles at the 24 minute mark, assisted by Emily King.
The game was tied 1-1 at halftime.
Ellsworth scored the game-winner 14 minutes into the 2nd Half, on a goal by Kesley Lambert, assisted by Boles.
Jayden Sullivan was in goal for the Eagles, and had 4 saves.
Ellsworth is now 1-1 on the season. The Eagles will host the John Bapst Crusaders on Wednesday, September 6th at 6 p.m.
Presque Isle is 0-1. They will host the Fort Kent Warriors on Thursday, September 7th at 7 p.m.
