Trenton Senior Legion and Junior Legion Baseball Teams Win State Championship on Saturday [UPDATE]

The Trenton Senior and Junior Legion Baseball Teams both won the their Legion Tournaments on Saturday. The Senior Team defeated Hampden 2-0 while the Junior Team defeated Capital Area 4-3.

(Correction- I had erroneously said they were the 1st Legion to win both the Senior and Junior Legion Championships in the same year. The Hampden Riverdogs and Riverhawks won last year. I'm sorry for the error.)

In the Senior Game the Acadians beat the Hampden Riverdogs 2-0.

Hunter Curtis pitched a complete game for the Acadians. He allowed 8 hits and struck out 8. He didn't walk a batter.

Curtis helped himself at the plate, going 3-4 batting leadoff.

Hunter's brother, Dawson, singled and drove in a run. Miles Palmer, Peter Keblinsky, and Colin Sullivan singled.

Sullivan, and the Curtis brothers, Dawson and Hunter each stole a base.

For Hampden Brady Eaglin started and went 6.0 innings. He allowed 6 hits and 2 runs, striking out 1 and walking 2. TJ Llerena pitched the final inning, allowing 1 hit, striking out 2 and walking 1.

Llerena and Garrett McLeod each had 2 hits. Kam Hale, Collin Peckham, Kaysen Wildman and Rogan Lord each singled for the Riverdogs.
