Leon Clears Waivers, Now What?
Red Sox catcher Sandy Leon has cleared waivers, meaning no team claimed him over a 48 hour period. That's means the Sox can send him to Triple-A Pawtucket or he could elect to become a free agent.
Leon was the odd man out in the three catcher saga with Christian Vazquez and Blake Swihart winning the two spots on the Sox roster.
He has 48 hours decide what he wants to do.
