The Northern Maine High School Basketball Tournament had some performances to remember. Three outstanding student-athletes have been nominated as this week's McDonald's High School Athlete of the Week.

Kolleen Bouchard, Houlton High School Shiretowners: Bouchard led the Shires to their second regional title in as many years with three solid performances. In the quarterfinals she came up with a game high 22 points and followed that up with 23 in the semifinals and another 19 in the regional championship.

Taylor Schildroth, George Stevens Academy Eagles: The sophomore point guard electrified fans with his ability to get to the basket and stick a jump shot. Schildroth concluded the tournament with 71 points with 17, 22 and 32 points scored in his three tourney games.

Bruce St. Peter, Ellsworth High School Eagles: St. Peter had an eventful week at the tourney scoring 15 points in the quarterfinals and 10 in the semifinals which included the game winning basket at the buzzer in  overtime. In the title game, he scored 19 points and had a dunk that seemed to provide the spark the Eagles needed to beat Orono.
