A miserable Red Sox roadtrip ends on a high note. Mitch Moreland hit a 7th inning solo home run and the Boston bullpen made it hold up for a 1-0 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks.

And when we say bullpen, we mean from start to finish.

Hector Velaquez started the game and went three scoreless. Skipper Alex Cora rolled out Brandon Workman, Marcus Walden, Matt Barnes and Ryan Brasier.

The Diamondbacks never scored a run.

In total, the staff gave up no runs, three hits and one walk.

The Sox offense could manage only five hits but the bomb by Moreland was the game winner.

So they come back to Fenway Park for a Tuesday afternoon opener with a 3-8 record. But, the longest roadtrip of the year is done.
