Chris Sale was simply dominant Sunday afternoon in a Red Sox 5-0 win over the Seattle Mariners.

13 strikeouts in seven innings of shutout pitching. He walked one and gave up just four hits. Sale threw 93 pitches and 71 were strikes.

Sale improves to 7-4 and lowers his ERA to 2.56.

The Sox offense finally supported a Sale start, scoring three runs in the 5th inning and another two in the 6th inning.

Rafael Devers, Sandy Leon and Mookie Betts all drove in a run. The big blow was a two-run home run by Mitch Moreland.

The Sox improve to 52-27 and have Monday off before starting a series with the Angels.
