We have a new McDonald's Athlete of the Week.

Andre Miller of the Old Town Coyotes had a standout week and has been voted this week's McDonald's Athlete of the Week.

Miller contributed several ways in the Coyotes 41-19 win over Foxcroft. He returned an interception 95 yards for a touchdown, threw a 36-yard touchdown pass on a reverse play and scored on a 76-yard run. Miller finished the game with 196 all-purpose yards to help Old Town improve to 4-0.

Miller secured 41 percent of the vote in our our online poll, edging out MCI quarterback Greg Vigue, who went 7-10 passing for 189 yards and three touchdowns. He also rushed for a 16-yard touchdown in the Huskies 61-0 win over No. 2 Mattanawcook Academy to remain undefeated at 4-0.

Gretchen Wright of the Brewer Witches also had a great week, turning in her best game of the season in a 5-1 win over Cony in which the junior scored all goals. Wright has scored seven goals including two game winners and two assists in the Witches' first seven games.
