Just when you think the New England Patriots are in need at the tight end position now that Gronk is gone, the Patriots have trade TE Jacob Hollister to the Seattle Seahawks.

The Pats will get a 7th round draft pick in next year's draft.

The 6-foot-4, 245 pound Hollister came to Foxboro, undrafted from the University of Wyoming. He played in 15 games in 2017, mostly on special teams. Last season, he was limited to eight games because of injuries. In total, Hollister had eight catches for 94 yards.

The trade leaves the Patriots with newly acquired Austin Seferian-Jenkins and Matt LaCosse as their primary tight ends.

The team did not draft a tight end in last week's draft.
